Thanksgiving Day (Nov-24-2016) Potluck for Bootstrappers in San Jose. Don’t have family to visit on Thanksgiving? Join us for Thanksgiving dinner. Bring drinks or your favorite dish to share. We are supplying the turkey and some sides and are looking forward to a Bootstrappers Thanksgiving, Please RSVP if you plan to attend and let us know what you plan to bring so we can get a final headcount. Cofounder Academy: Cofounder Legal Challenges and Solutions Tue-Nov-29 at Hacker Dojo. When you join a startup for the first time you can be overwhelmed legal and financial issues that you’ve never had to deal with before. We will have a panel of three lawyers to talk about legal and financial issues for cofounders: Seffi Kaminitz, Karl-Heinz Lachnit, and Steven Swernofsky. Sean Murphy will moderate.

Palo Alto Bootstrappers Breakfast Fri-Dec-2 7:30am at Hobees. Look for us in back room. Elena Krasnoperova is a featured attendee who will offer a briefing on “Learning Hacks for Bootstrappers.” Elena will introduce the AAA learning framework: Acquire, Absorb, Apply – and then teach us the hacks for each of the 3 stages. Attendees will receive a cheat sheet of learning tools to take home. Elena Krasnoperova is a former executive at eBay, PayPal, Zong and oDesk, and the founder of two bootstrapped companies in the “family tech” space: SimplyCircle and Calroo.

San Francisco Bootstrappers Breakfast Wed-Dec-7 at 9am at Split Bread, 560 Mission St. Focus topic: Financing your startup. Pete Tormey, an experienced entrepreneur and attorney, will address the variety of funding options available to startups from a bootstrapping perspective. Besides introducing some of the options, he will provide some tips and tricks gleaned from his years working with startups.
